Wait a minute, when did Matthew stab Wayne? Why does Matthew have a sword? Is it a metaphor for the fact that if Matthew did kill Wayne, he would be stabbing him in the back after all the “loyalty” he preached? Is Wayne DEAD?
So many questions.
This Twisted Tuesday offers you an exclusive snippet that is a piece of the very last chapter of Twisted Illusions. It’s the one that’s got fans on the edge of their seats for the September release of Twisted Abandon. I promise that this snippet is not a spoiler alert for those who haven’t read the first book. Hell, or it could be one big spoiler alert. Either way, by the time you read this snippet you may be able to answer the question that’s on every reader’s mind… Did Matthew Kill Wayne?
“Hello?” “Hey man. I’m at your house. I just got a call from the hospital.” Matthew put on his best sympathetic voice. “Rain’s not doing so good man. They want you there.” “Oh shit.” He could hear Wayne’s car tires screech. “I’m on my way.” “Come here first. Come get me.” “What–Why?” “Your wallet’s here. It has Rain’s insurance card in it, and you know how hospitals trip about that kind of stuff.” “Yeah, you’re right.” Wayne sounded nervous. “I’m on my way.” “Alright. Hey Wayne. Just park in the alley or something. I’ll meet you outside.” “Yeah okay.” They hung up and Matthew pressed the cool feeling of the gun to his temple. He forgot how good it felt just to be able to fully feel and he only could when he was high. It was time he faced the truth. He turned the gun over in his hands before smiling at it. As of that moment, it was his only friend and tonight it would become his best.
Do you feel that? That’s the feeling of your skin crawling. At this point in the book, there’s only one epilogue between you and discovering Wayne’s fate…. Or will the second book not come out at all? So many questions that won’t be found out until after September 7th when the second book of the Twisted Trilogy makes its way to a bookstore near you.
A Special Thanks Goes Out to:
Kishawn Gilliam of Fantasy Images [Lansing, Michigan based] who is not only a fellow photographer but is also a fan of Twisted Illusions! He was the one who said something along the lines of “I imagined that Wayne was a dreadhead,” and so he had no idea but he’s pretty much became Wayne for the sake of the image!
Kishawn’s review of Twisted Illusions: Twisted Illusions is not what i thought it was gonna be at all but it still turned out to be a very good read, it does start off pretty slow but the drama escalates quickly and gets very steamy at some parts. You can tell if you read her 1st book that shes improved a whole lot on the deliverance of her story telling, i loved the story and where it can lead, from gang wars to cops to stardom, its all there and i am excited for the next book! If you need a good drama or just a good pastime type of read, i’d recommend this over and over again. I’m not sure what her next series will be but if she gets into sci-fi it could be the next Star Wars for us book worms! The only problem i had was the ending because..ahh i dont wanna spoil it, just know you will be running off walls trying to figure out what happened going crazy awaiting the 2nd book!
