Brianna – Punk Fashion Model – JDP

If you know me by now, you know there are two things this blog focuses on. Fashion and photography. I’m a sucker for punk fashion, I’m a sucker for photography and I’m absolutely slain by the vision of those two combining. Today’s blog is special because not only did you get to see some amazing punk fashion, you get to see a stunning aspiring model showing it off.

By the way, Happy SKG Sunday! This is definitely a part of the SKG Archives. This photoshoot was featured on SKG’s lookbook first.

Brianna // Punk Fashion
Jasemine Denise Photography

I’m a really big believer in manifestation. That being said, Brianna is gonna be big. This is her first shoot with me, but already.. I could see it in her eyes. The passion for fashion, the uniqueness in her look.. The future was in her step.

Briana’s current passion is esthetician and skincare. On her Instagram she showcases a lot of her own makeup looks and.. I have to say, the contrast in her eyeshadow to the rest of her outfit was amazing. (This is coming from someone who knows nothing about makeup.. So cosign with me on this one!)

My favorite thing about Brianna is the same thing I love about Bianca, another model I started working with this summer… That smile. Even if you’re a “real” punk rock model, your personality shines through quite bright.

It gets better…

Wait, Don’t you Wanna Get The Look?

Want that collar around Brianna’s neck? I got you covered! You can purchase it right here. Seriously, click the button and it’ll send you directly to SKG’s check out!

Until next SKG Sunday,

ClaustroClothic #25: Teal // Chicago Fashion

Alright, since no one else is gonna say it.. I will. Did we even get a spring this year? It’s June and I’m still waiting on the weather to give me some rain to do Chicago fashion photoshoots in. It’s June. Anyway, I asked because this ClaustroClothic was supposed to be a look for the spring.. I had a shoot for it and everything.. Yet spring never came. Call that Chicago fashion.

ClaustroClothic #25: Teal

What inspired this look?

So much has changed since my last ClaustroClothic. I moved house, I fell in love,  Liberation by Christina Aguilera came out, I gained two new business partners and I changed my hair.. I had never dared to venture into pink.. Yet, this transition called for something new.. Something vibrant.. Something fresh. The blooming of all these things in my life called for a splash of color in my life.

Why Label This Look Chicago Fashion specifically?

Growing up on the south side of Chicago, I always thought Chicago fashion.. at least in the streets was about coordinating. A lot of people on the south side spent time in the store matching their fitted to their shoes to their shirt.

That was Chicago fashion to me. I didn’t go to Chicago Fashion week, I didn’t spend time in fashion school.. I just looked at what was around me. It was all about coordination. So when I got older.. I knew that’s what I wanted to take away from my city as far as fashion.. I wanted to be coordinated.

Top to bottom, everything has to match!

What’s your favorite part of this outfit?

*pulls out foghorn* Let. Me. Tell. You!

Teal is life, teal is love, teal is the last color Shop Kinky Girly released before the owner blew my mind with a brand new vegan collection. Some say mint, some say teal, whatever it is, I’m wearing it!

This one in particular is the Valentina Harness. I love it because it has so many different adjustable straps, kinda like the Dita but a little more subtle. The neck strap sold me. It’s like wearing a collar and a harness at the same time.

Get yourself one.

Well, that’s it!

Stay tuned. I’ll be serving a pink look next that I can’t wait for you to see. In the meantime, follow me on Instagram to see outfits I put together daily.

ClaustroClothic #26: Full Body Harness Fashion

So, it has been my dream since a kid to have a full body harness outfit that made me look like a punk Stevie Nicks… Okay, maybe not since a kid but you know what I mean! I was really excited for the latest collection of SKG gear because it included an all red full body harness. (Yes, in case you haven’t heard… SKG now features red leather in addition to black.)

This post is part of the cute SKG Designs archive, filled with photos from shoots I’ve done both in front of the camera and behind it with the amazing brand and brand ambassadorsDisclaimer: I don’t get paid to wear SKG, or tell ya about it. I do however have a discount code, JasemineDenise that you can use any time you want… You know, in case you wanna get a full body harness of your own!

ClaustroClothic #29: Full Body Harness Fashion

The weather is finally breaking in Chicago, but it’s not quite warm enough in Chicago and I’m not gonna lie, every time it gets cold… I start to get nervous. What will I wear? Will I still be able to pull off cute looks while it’s cold out? How will I wear the Mara Leather Full body Harness I have just been itching to put on my body? Seriously, I asked myself that question when the Warrior collection released and I got my hands on an Isabel skirt. I was like… “Hmm. How can I wear this?” Turns out, I just had to dress for the weather, which at the time was the summer… This.. This is different.

The colder months are hard. It’s al about layers. When I did this shoot, it was about… I’d say forty degrees and I wasn’t cold at all. Beneath the cute kimono fashion shirt, I was wearing a bodysuit that was really thick and some thick knit leggings complete with my red and black boots from Discovery clothing. I wanted to have a certain level of comfort so the shoes were the best touch.

An up close look at the full body harness that pieced this outfit together:

This harness breathes life into me. First off, the top. Detachable from the bottom. That means that you could wear them both separately if you wanted to. When I say that I am beyond impressed, I started screaming. The leather craftsmanship as usual is astonishing. Seriously, whenever I get leather… I’m kinda nervous. I don’t want to pull on a strap too hard and rip it but oh my goddess, it fits and it feels like second skin!

This one also comes with more buckles. That’s how you get me screaming. Double the buckle!!! Even underneath layers, I feel extremely proud and sexy because each time I step, I can feel the leather mold to my thighs.

Also pictured here is the Isabel skirt underneath the harness.

Are you ready for the warm weather?

Say yess!!! I feel like Chicago has been waiting for some warm weather since it snowed non-stop. I’m just ready for the summer! Are you gonna be wearing something daring and bold this summer? Share in the comments! As Miss Frizzle would say, get messy.. Make mistakes, and have fun!

ClaustroClothic #27: Alternative Fashion // Jada Pinkett Inspired

You already know what today is! Saturday which is the day this blog always celebrates alternative fashion with another ClaustroClothic. This week, I had a mental Flashback to Magic Mike XXL. Let’s see if you catch the vibe…

ClaustroClothic #26 Alternative Fashion // Jada Pinkett Inspired

I’ve been trying to create a special section of ClaustroClothic that is geared toward business professionals. I wanted to be able to kill the stigma that you’re not allowed to be goth and professional. If you’ve seen any of my “professional outfits”, then you’ve heard this all too many times before. I’d like to point out that I look a bit rugged in this session. It was taken a couple days before my first tooth extraction but when the idea came to me, I just couldn’t sit it out! I had to have it shot!

This look was inspired by

Jada Pinkett Smith was Rome in the movie Magic Mike XXL. There were so many memorable scenes in that movie with her… There was the moment Channing Tatum walked up to her at her mansion, the dance off where she introduces him.. There was that minute she walked up to Amber Heard, and of course my personal favorite… her introduction at the showcase, where she says.. “My Queens, my Queens.”

That character literally exudes power and solidarity. She inspires me… It was easy to visualize her completely while building this outfit. My goal was to channel that power, that confidence, and create that magic.

The bulk of this look..

is from Discovery Clothing. That black and white button down shirt is one of my favorites of all time.
Underneath that, I’m wearing the Selene Harness from the leather collection of SKG Designs paired with the Selene Body Cage Garter belt as well.

Favorite Part of the Outfit:

The hat! Next time my SKG Gear, I wasn’t sure how I was going to complete this outfit. The hat did it. It was a gift given to me by Vixen Domo, a model in Iowa who said when she first saw the hat, she knew that it was so me. It is me. Down to a tee too. It really gives me confidence to know that the moment I put it on my head, I said to myself… This is the look.

What Other Business Professional Looks have I done so far?

Are you into alternative fashion but don’t know what to do? Don’t worry babe! I’ve got more looks cooked up for you and more on the way! <3

ClaustroClothic #33 was inspired by Michaela Pratt, a character from the show How To Get Away With Murder. #37: Is what I wore the day Trump got voted into office. It was the worst day but it was a look. There are many more coming, so if you subscribe to the blog you’ll be able to catch them all as soon as they drop!

The Weirdest Girl // Killstar – Jasemine Denise

Alright, alright. So I was a little late to the Killstar train, but I literally held out for my first purchase the moment I saw this Weird Girl crop top. I knew at that point that I had to make my first purchase, and figure out an outfit to go with it. I left this look out of the ClaustroClothic archive, because it’s a pretty damn good standalone. Plus, it gives me an excuse to fan girl.

The Weirdest Girl // Killstar

A little stranger.. or a little weirder?

Let me start off by saying that I was the very last one of my friends to jump on the Stranger Things train and I regret every single second wasted. First off, David Harbour? Beautiful. Millie Bobby Brown, protect her. Winona Ryder? FOREVER.

I didn’t start watching till Stranger Things 2 came out. That’s right. I cheated. Yet, immediately after I finished.. I wanted to talk about it. Like everything else I’ve ever become a fan of, it became a part of me. Hence, “weird girl.”

This outfit?

Probably the least weirdest thing I’ve put together this year. It’s simple actually, and if you know me well enough.. you know I don’t do simple.

Probably the most extra part of the outfit? My shoes. Sometimes, I’m an accessory girl. That Lina belt from SKG Designs? Subtle. The Fiona collar (You saw me wearing that when I was rocking the Echelon on my back too!) Chill. The shoes? The shoes are what say.. “Hey listen. I came to be the most weird girl. THE MOST EXTRA. The most me!

What can I say, something on me has to be doing the most?

What about you?

Have you watched Stranger Things and Stranger Things 2 yet? What’s your favorite part? Are you Team Steve like all my girls or are you Team Jonathan like literally only me? Tell me in the comments!

In the meantime, don’t forget to follow my Instagram for my daily fashion looks and subscribe to the blog to see photoshoots the moment they drop!

Stay weird. <3

ClaustroClothic #29: Gals and Roses // Alternative Fashion

Are you a fan of alternative fashion? Remember that ClaustroClothic is a series where you get to see all of my crazy looks, and if it’s been a while like it has this time.. then you can go back through the ClaustroClothic archive and see all of my older looks!

ClaustroClothic #29: Gals and Roses // Alternative Fashion

It’s no secret that I love the band Guns N’ Roses. Hell, I have a whole ClaustroClothic devoted to it. However, for years I pretended as though I didn’t love roses… Rose print. Rose flowers. Rose gold, any of it. As I transition into my late adulthood, I’ve come to learn that if you stop pretending with yourself.. you’ll be able to get more of what you wanted..

What makes this outfit special?

Every bit of this outfit was bought at different times. Alternative fashion for me is never about what you’ve got but what you can put together with what you’ve got. Some of my greatest outfits were formed by accident. The sheer robe was the first purchase. It was bought from Discovery Clothing a little over a year ago. Then came the bralette which is also from Discovery but from a completely different store in a different side of Chicago.

The skirt is the final addition, coming from a secondhand store right around the corner from my house.
It’s insane how I saw it and the rest of the outfit came to life before my eyes.

I knew I had to have my red and black hair, my red corset, my heartshaped shades from Ragstock and a two toned harness from SKG.

It’s like.. When you know, you know.

The Shoes //

Alright, I love love love Iron Fist. I’ve been putting these shoes with so many outfits lately. I don’t even care how many people are like “You wear those shoes all the time!” You damn right I do. They’re comfortable, they’re the type you can get away with in a business professional look. I simply love them.

That’s the look!

Have you been keeping up with my style? Can’t get enough? Follow my Instagram for daily looks into my closet and subscribe to the blog for the next ClaustroClothic! In the meantime, tag me in all your outfits! I love fashion!

SKG Designs Sunday // Punk Princess

I shoot so much SKG Designs, it’s safe to say the secret’s out. If you don’t follow Shop Kinky Girly on Instagram or Twitter, then you may not know that we’re business soulmates. What does that mean? It means that if you own some SKG Designs, you can get a photoshoot in it any time.. for free. A free mini session, as long as I’m in your city when the moment happens. That also means that I have a lot of SKG Designs lookbook photos that you just need to see. So, every other Sunday.. I’m gonna show you some awesome ways to style the gear created by my models and other customers of SKG!

SKG Designs Sunday // Punk Princess

This look was first published on SKG Designs, and I felt it needed another share. If you’re into Ru Paul’s Drag Race, prepare yourselves… There’s an easter egg in this. You may remember Vickie but she’s been modeling with Jasemine Denise Photography over a year now. We even shot her wedding boudoir last October. It’s safe to say she’s definitely my style crush and it carries straight over to SKG!

Let’s talk about the back of that jacket shall we?

I’m a sucker for punk looking things but I’m an even bigger sucker for things that make a statement.

Vickie, a gal after my own heart, DIY’ed this jacket together.

Look at the fuzzy little details!

What’s just as awesome is that she paired some amazing SKG Designs gear with this look!

Get The Look // SKG Designs

Aside from getting entered in awesome SKG Designs giveaways, you can get a discount on your first order by using Vickie’s code ‘Vickie’ at SKG Designs for a discount. She’s wearing the Lilith Chain Collar and the Fiona Belt, both from the leather collection of SKG.

Brooce // Queen of The Wasteland // Fantasy Photography

Fantasy Photography? Definitely something I’m excited to get more into in the coming of the year 2018. My models are constantly serving these otherworldly looks and I’m just now coming to grips with the fact that every single look they serve is literally.. out of this world. You’ve seen Brooce here before. Last time she was Heaven in Hiding. This time, she brings something a little… Grittier to the table. This photoshoot is a part of the Warrior Series

Queen Of the Wasteland // Brooce
Fantasy Photography // Jasemine Denise Photography

We are billions of beautiful hearts
And you sold us down the river too far

We’ve survived the apocalypse. It’s 2018. We’ve all become warriors. People are still choosing their leaders. Our gear was forged by SKG. It’s how we identify one another.
Brooce is a leader who is recognized as something different. Once upon a time, she was a Princess… An angel… One of the kindest souls you’ll ever meet.
Over time, she became hardened, reckless, a fighter.

The Priscilla Clan // Princess, Fairies, and Elven Warriors:

Were you once a Princess? Were you hidden deep in the forest when the sky glossed over.. or were you somewhere discovering the beauty of outer space? No matter where you were when the moment hit, if you are a dreamer and still have hope in your eyes.. you may still have a chance to be picked up by the Priscilla clan, and graced with the presence of the Fairy Queen herself. She is still kind, she still shows mercy, and she’s giving.

Wanna see more of Brooce?

This is just a mini session!
Fret not though. you can see more of Brooce in literally two days. I’ll tell ya how!

It is Brooce’s goal this year to create more daring and bold work.

To celebrate that very fact, Jasemine Denise Photography is releasing an NSFW set to our Patreon featuring the gorgeous art created by Brooce, featuring her beautiful body. The official set will be available Sunday at 3pm central time for Pledgers $5 and up so pledge to receive access to the set.

Follow Brooce on Instagram for more updates and don’t forget that you can purchase the Limited Edition Priscilla Harness in black or white for a limited time with SKG Designs! You can even use Brooce’s code “Br00c3″ and get a nice little discount on your order! Don’t miss out!

Cosplay Photography

Poison Ivy Cosplay // Laura Joy

Yes, that’s right. A Poison Ivy cosplay. You could say Jasemine Denise Photography has a thing for the Gotham Universe.. and you’d be right. It’s not even just Gotham though. You’ve seen your favorite photographer as Storm, you’ve seen Rose Romanova as Black Canary and now… Laura Joy as not just Poison Ivy… Nah, this is a BOMBSHELL Poison Ivy cosplay.

Bombshell Poison Ivy Cosplay
Harness from SKG Designs // Makeup by: MUAGDJ

At this time, Laura was fairly new to the Jasemine Denise Photography model roster.  She was nervous, but she was adventurous coming in the SKGxJDP boudoir session at the very last second, and slaying everyone in her presence’s life. Truly living up to her cosplay as Poison Ivy. Her makeup was an intricate affair created by Gabbie, our lead makeup artist who worked diligently with Laura to create something that was poisonous but very avante garde…

Photographer’s Secret: I was terrified stepping into this session. As a photographer, it’s almost frowned upon for you to admit that. The industry tells you to be confident, kick ass, and don’t show any weakness. Welp. I was scared because I wanted Laura to feel confident and gorgeous because.. Well she is. She took my expectations, shattered them, and created her own mold to break. Five seconds into the session, you couldn’t have every told me that she had just started modeling. No… This was pure talent.

Bombshell: bomb·shell ˈbämˌSHel/ 1.) One who is amazing, stunning or devastating.

Yes, that sounds about right. Amazingly, devastatingly, stunning!

Laura, wearing an overbust and a Tempest Harness from SKG Designs definitely make this session less about the cosplay and more about the concept.

A closeup look at Laura:

Gabbie really took her time with the detail on this. The leaves are literally composed of glitter. This year, I’ll be sharing a lot more photoshoots featuring her makeup, so make sure you follow her on Instagram. Laura’s also modeling the Tempest Harness in red from SKG Designs over her overbust corset.

To see more of Laura’s photoshoots, follow her on Instagram! She’ll be back sooner than you think.

Kali Neko // Christmas Pinup

Merry Christmas! Let me start of by saying that I’ve been dying to do more pinup style shoots. Looking at models like Ophelia Overdose really motivate me to wanna bring my girls kicking and screaming into more complex shoots. Plot Twist: They won’t be kicking and screaming. They’ll be giggling and screaming “Yasss!” at the top of their lungs. Trust me. Anyway, trying to get more into the holiday spirit, Kali and I did a Christmas pinup shoot. I’m considering this practice because coming into the new year, you’re going to see a lot more of this. You ready?

Kali Neko // Christmas Pinup Session

Kali Neko Christmas Pinup Session Jasemine Denise Photography

Leg Garters and Harness from SKG Designs. | Photography by Jasemine-Denise

This Christmas pinup session is special. Most people know Kali for her cosplays. Truth be told, when I met Kali, that’s probably the only thing I knew about her. I didn’t know she did pinup modeling for cosplay companies like My Geek Goddess and Pixel Vixens. I didn’t know she had the capability of being a brand ambassador beyond your wildest dreams. What I really didn’t know is that Kali was born a human with nothing but kitten tendencies. Even as we shot this very session, she was fiddling with the makeshift candy cane we built, using her french tip nails to peel at the ribbon stapled to the tube. Watching it from afar, it was cute.

How to Turn A Kitten into a Candy Cane:

Christmas pinup shoots, or shoots that have a theme aren’t easy. There’s a lot of plotting. This look started with the release of the Elysia Harness from SKG Designs. It’s the first design SKG has released that has involved leg wraps, coming in quite a few colors. From there, Kali.. being a kitten brought together the ears and tail and suddenly.. The look was born.

We know.
