Mini Session Monday – Florida Model Reiko

You’ve seen Florida model Reiko here on the blog before. Just recently, she modeled some of Shop Kinky Girly’s designs in a dark photoshoot that blew my mind. You can check that out here, and if you’ve seen it already… Get ready to see Reiko again.. but in a whole new light wearing Manaka Handmade originals.  It’s time for a Mini Session Monday featuring the lovely Florida Model Reiko.

Mini Session Monday:
Manaka Handmade // Florida Model Reiko

Prior to meeting Reiko, a Florida model I’ve known for over 10 years… I didn’t know too many people who had a style like hers. Sometimes it’s dark, sometimes it’s pinup, and sometimes it’s a surprise just waiting to unfold.

I asked Reiko what inspired her as a model. At the time, we were discussing her direction of how to branch out from other models in her area. She mentioned Manaka, and how much the handmade designer inspired her. She revealed that she was holding in her hands a few of the gorgeous pieces and that she wanted to do a photoshoot rocking them. How could I say no?

Did you enjoy this mini session with Reiko?

I don’t get to Florida much, but Reiko is model available for booking and willing to travel. You can follow her Instagram to see more of her shoots, check out her Facebook page to get future updates or subscribe to JDcom for more shoots released featuring the gorgeous Florida model.

Nina – Flower Child

Nina has been waiting for her time to shine. Diligently shooting behind the scenes with Jasemine Denise Photography for a little over two months now, she’s been bearing the cold, the wind and the rain. Finally.. her time has come. I still can’t believe it’s finally spring in Chicago. I honestly felt like this day was never going to come. Fun fact about Nina, she thrives in the sunlight. She’s got such a vivid and bright personality! She’s got the absolute personality of a flower child. It’s a beautiful thing!

They say that a truly free spirit cannot be tamed.

The essence of Nina is that she can go from a stone cold model face to a carefree black girl in a heartbeat. That is simply because that’s who she is. She’s got a beautiful smile and a creative spirit. The essence is deeply rooted within her. While she can be emotional and very serious, she can also be the kicked back girl you can catch an episode of Dragon Ball Z with.

Hidden depths are a gift.

It’s not long in any session before it simply blossoms out of Nina. It starts as a simple stare, which later transforms into a smile.. Eventually her inner essence consumes her and seemingly brightens everything else around her. Nina Riggins - Jasemine Denise Photography - Spring 2016-26Nina Riggins - Jasemine Denise Photography - Spring 2016-85

The Wayward Winds of A flower child always blow away..

Adventures With Becky // Wanderlust Wednesday

In case it wasn’t apparent to you guys yet, I love exploring. When I’m not on the road photographing weddings, kids, and the lot.. I’m falling in love with the sight of someone else telling me what they’ve fallen in love with around them. That being said, meet the lovely Becky. I met Becky at my last shoot with Erin. That shoot had a part one and a part two and Becky was in both! Now, it’s time that she flew solo for an adventure!

Becky took us to a beautiful sunset at the end of her session that I couldn’t help but capture her in. As she admired it, I was impressed by such a beautiful sight. She has filled my Wanderlust heart! Continue Reading
