Welcome to the B-Side of the business where you get an inside peek of the backstage area of JDP.
I’m Jasemine, in case you didn’t know. I travel as a photographer, I write novels that I swear are better than my personal instagram narratives , and fashion is my favorite off duty hobby. I live life like a rockstar, and every photoshoot is like performing in my favorite city.
The ever stunning Bianca is slightly new to modeling scene but this isn’t her first photoshoot with me by far! Her boudoir with her boyfriend Ernest was actually featured in Huffington Post’s 29 Couples Boudoir Photos that are Almost too Hot To Handle last year. You know the one thing that is sexier than a couple in love? A person who is in love with themselves. Let that confidence shine through!
Bianca’s what I like to call a chameleon. She’s a woman who can pull off almost any look, any hairstyle, and any color. There’s not a lot of women out there who are capable of doing that and that’s what makes her such an excellent model. That, and her smile.
One of the things I love most about Bianca is that she’s daring and very bold. If you’ve ever met her, you know she has no qualms telling the truth and being viciously open about who she is. It’s an absolute breath of fresh air as well as a motivation. My favorite thing is seeing her cross that over into her fashion territory. She’s not afraid to pick colors that you wouldn’t typically piece together and show us how to wear them.
What Bianca’s Wearing:
Jacket: Fashion Nova
Top: Fashion Nova
Shoes: Fashion Nova
Harness : Aurora from SKG Designs

Recess was one of my absolute favorite One Saturday Morning cartoons growing up. When Cosplay Sass and the Glitter Goddess came to me and mentioned a recess cosplay collaboration, I jumped at the opportunity. Convention season is among us! I mean, Anime Central is literally this weekend!
When I was little, the most painfully crazy moment in One Saturday Morning history was finding out that Spinelli’s first name was Ashley. Holy identity crisis! My best friend at the time too was named Ashley and I came into school the next day skeptical. The Ashley I knew was more like Spinelli, a tomboy and a cool girl. I had decided that day that any other Ashley was my sworn enemy.
This recess cosplay is about to show you my inner cartoon nerd.. which as I’ve grown has grown apart from me. (Seriously, the last cartoon I binge watched was The Fairly Odd Parents, and apparently Cosmo and Wanda.. had kids?)
Ashley B, in the cartoon was supposed to be the gossip one who was really into fashion.. Remember when she kicked Ashley A out for not wearing Purple On Purple Day? Bri channelled that vibe perfectly, even though she’s nothing like the character in real life. However, she did come.. carrying “The Rules” of the Ashley Club.
Spoiler Alert: I didn’t know I wasn’t the only one in my friends circle who couldn’t spell Wednesday. Don’t trip, Bri.. That’s how I try to spell it too.
Ashley Spinelli // Cosplay Sass.
The toughest kid on the playground, and honestly the sassiest cosplayer on my cosplay roster, Cosplay Sass truly is Spinelli. They have no problems channeling some of the most evil characters on the silver screen. Yet, as Spinelli.. It’s just perfect.
Spinelli was a badass to me because even though her first name was Ashley, she had no interest in being an Ashley.
Are you looking to be a part of the Ashleys?
We’re gonna do a full version of this recess cosplay after Anime Central and we’re looking for more Ashleys! Drop a comment if you’re down to be a part of the cast of recess! In the meantime, follow Glitter Goddess and Cosplay Sass on Instagram and don’t hesitate to wave them down if you catch them at Acen this year.
So, it has been my dream since a kid to have a full body harness outfit that made me look like a punk Stevie Nicks… Okay, maybe not since a kid but you know what I mean! I was really excited for the latest collection of SKG gear because it included an all red full body harness. (Yes, in case you haven’t heard… SKG now features red leather in addition to black.)
This post is part of the cute SKG Designs archive, filled with photos from shoots I’ve done both in front of the camera and behind it with the amazing brand and brand ambassadors. Disclaimer: I don’t get paid to wear SKG, or tell ya about it. I do however have a discount code, JasemineDenise that you can use any time you want… You know, in case you wanna get a full body harness of your own!
ClaustroClothic #26: Full Body Harness Fashion
The weather is finally breaking in Chicago, but it’s not quite warm enough in Chicago and I’m not gonna lie, every time it gets cold… I start to get nervous. What will I wear? Will I still be able to pull off cute looks while it’s cold out? How will I wear the Mara Leather Full body Harness I have just been itching to put on my body? Seriously, I asked myself that question when the Warrior collection released and I got my hands on an Isabel skirt. I was like… “Hmm. How can I wear this?” Turns out, I just had to dress for the weather, which at the time was the summer… This.. This is different.
The colder months are hard. It’s al about layers. When I did this shoot, it was about… I’d say forty degrees and I wasn’t cold at all. Beneath the cute kimono fashion shirt, I was wearing a bodysuit that was really thick and some thick knit leggings complete with my red and black boots from Discovery clothing. I wanted to have a certain level of comfort so the shoes were the best touch.
An up close look at the full body harness that pieced this outfit together:
This harness breathes life into me. First off, the top. Detachable from the bottom. That means that you could wear them both separately if you wanted to. When I say that I am beyond impressed, I started screaming. The leather craftsmanship as usual is astonishing. Seriously, whenever I get leather… I’m kinda nervous. I don’t want to pull on a strap too hard and rip it but oh my goddess, it fits and it feels like second skin!
This one also comes with more buckles. That’s how you get me screaming. Double the buckle!!! Even underneath layers, I feel extremely proud and sexy because each time I step, I can feel the leather mold to my thighs.
Are you ready for the warm weather?
Say yess!!! I feel like Chicago has been waiting for some warm weather since it snowed non-stop. I’m just ready for the summer! Are you gonna be wearing something daring and bold this summer? Share in the comments! As Miss Frizzle would say, get messy.. Make mistakes, and have fun!
This Felicia Darkstalkers Cosplay is probably one of my favorite cosplay shoots today. I may have a little bias because I love Holy Cherries, but that’s beside this point. This is amazing. The cosplay is handmade by the model herself.
Holy Cherries // Felicia Darkstalkers Cosplay
You’ve seen Holy Cherries here before. Just a few short weeks ago, she did a Tank Girl Cosplay that was honestly amazing. Her cosplays have always been creative and full of spark. Outside of being a model for My Geek Goddess, she’s pieced together several unique looks including a multitude of ones as a brand ambassador for Shop Kinky Girly.
Be careful, this kitty’s got claws!
My favorite thing about this cosplay is that Ariel made the nails of the kitten costume out of cigarette filters. Can you imagine this adorable Queen painting fake nails of kitties surrounded by her own three cats? You can totally see her cosplay WIPS featuring her cats on her Instagram page.
Wait, don’t touch that dial!
In a couple of days, the not safe for work version of this shoot drops to the JDP Patreon, but if you pledge to Holy Cherries, you’ll get access right now!
You already know what today is! Saturday which is the day this blog always celebrates alternative fashion with another ClaustroClothic. This week, I had a mental Flashback to Magic Mike XXL. Let’s see if you catch the vibe…
ClaustroClothic #27 Alternative Fashion // Jada Pinkett Inspired
I’ve been trying to create a special section of ClaustroClothic that is geared toward business professionals. I wanted to be able to kill the stigma that you’re not allowed to be goth and professional. If you’ve seen any of my “professional outfits”, then you’ve heard this all too many times before. I’d like to point out that I look a bit rugged in this session. It was taken a couple days before my first tooth extraction but when the idea came to me, I just couldn’t sit it out! I had to have it shot!
This look was inspired by
Jada Pinkett Smith was Rome in the movie Magic Mike XXL. There were so many memorable scenes in that movie with her… There was the moment Channing Tatum walked up to her at her mansion, the dance off where she introduces him.. There was that minute she walked up to Amber Heard, and of course my personal favorite… her introduction at the showcase, where she says.. “My Queens, my Queens.”
That character literally exudes power and solidarity. She inspires me… It was easy to visualize her completely while building this outfit. My goal was to channel that power, that confidence, and create that magic.
The hat! Next time my SKG Gear, I wasn’t sure how I was going to complete this outfit. The hat did it. It was a gift given to me by Vixen Domo, a model in Iowa who said when she first saw the hat, she knew that it was so me. It is me. Down to a tee too. It really gives me confidence to know that the moment I put it on my head, I said to myself… This is the look.
What Other Business Professional Looks have I done so far?
Are you into alternative fashion but don’t know what to do? Don’t worry babe! I’ve got more looks cooked up for you and more on the way! <3
Tank GIRL??? Oh yes! I’m ready! You may have seen her on Instagram, you’re probably pledged to her Patreon… and you’ve probably seen the mountains of long posts I’ve posted about how amazing she is.. But there is no better way to introduce Holy Cherries to you than to show you one of my all time favorite cosplays done by her!
Cosplaying is actually how I met this amazing Queen. We first collaborated on a Velma shoot that was glorious. She really broke the mold for me because when she stepped onto the set.. There was no Holy Cherries.. There was just Velma and it was almost overwhelming how good she was doing it.
As Tank Girl, she was no different. Hell, when she stepped onto my set… I was actually a bit intimidated. With her handmade bat of nails over her shoulder and a piercing scowl… She screamed danger and I was ready to face it… As long as I was beside her and not on the other end of her raft.
This Tank Girly Cosplay may get a little Not Safe For Work, but not too much.. If you’re reading this somewhere people can see you, stop here for safety reasons. Hahaha. But if you’re not sensitive to underwear covered butts, then proceed forward! Promise it gets no more unsafe than that!
Kali Neko and I have been working together pretty much since my career began. Evolving from a beginning and emerging cosplayer to a full fledge model was an absolutely awesome transformation to witness. Watch Kali step just a small bit out of the realm of cosplay modeling and get open up another side of her in this set called “Heart Shaped Box”.
This set was shot during an SKG weekend almost two years ago. Kali is wearing a retired lace collared and the Angelique chest harness. I got inspired for this set because in my head.. I envisioned a fallen angel, trying to make its way back.
Alright, alright. So I was a little late to the Killstar train, but I literally held out for my first purchase the moment I saw this Weird Girl crop top. I knew at that point that I had to make my first purchase, and figure out an outfit to go with it. I left this look out of the ClaustroClothic archive, because it’s a pretty damn good standalone. Plus, it gives me an excuse to fan girl.
The Weirdest Girl // Killstar
A little stranger.. or a little weirder?
Let me start off by saying that I was the very last one of my friends to jump on the Stranger Things train and I regret every single second wasted. First off, David Harbour? Beautiful. Millie Bobby Brown, protect her. Winona Ryder? FOREVER.
I didn’t start watching till Stranger Things 2 came out. That’s right. I cheated. Yet, immediately after I finished.. I wanted to talk about it. Like everything else I’ve ever become a fan of, it became a part of me. Hence, “weird girl.”
Probably the least weirdest thing I’ve put together this year. It’s simple actually, and if you know me well enough.. you know I don’t do simple.
Probably the most extra part of the outfit? My shoes. Sometimes, I’m an accessory girl. That Lina belt from SKG Designs? Subtle. The Fiona collar (You saw me wearing that when I was rocking the Echelon on my back too!) Chill. The shoes? The shoes are what say.. “Hey listen. I came to be the most weird girl. THE MOST EXTRA. The most me!
What can I say, something on me has to be doing the most?
What about you?
Have you watched Stranger Things and Stranger Things 2 yet? What’s your favorite part? Are you Team Steve like all my girls or are you Team Jonathan like literally only me? Tell me in the comments!
The most asked question I’ve gotten in my career is how I manage to pull of being a “Professional goth”. It makes me giggle every time. I picture myself in all black, dressed to impress, in a harness… Then it hit me. Can I truly be a business professional goth?
ClaustroClothic #28: Business Professional Goth
Let me start off by saying two things. Number One: I have no idea what your definition of “goth” is. I just picture all black, dark, and kinda angry looking. My only goal here was to combine alternative fashion with business casual to create something intriguing. Number two: I had just dyed my hair with Splat the day I did this photoshoot, so it’s gonna look like I’m bleeding purple out of my skull. You’ve been warned.
The key to this.. Keep it subtle. I started off by getting a blazer. That was the most important part. I had never, up until this point, owned an actual blazer. I got the idea from Ariel, who has so many blazer looks!
Underneath that shrug, I’m definitely wearing my red and black Dita Harness from SKG Designs. (I can’t style an outfit without a little SKG.)
Topped of with my new purple hair (Which is really just a test dye for an upcoming cosplay collab), the dark look just serves live.
To top it all off, my favorite.. Iron Fist Heels. These specifically are little devils and they add a little accent to every look. Even if you stripped me off the harnesses, I’d still wear my devils. That’s my way of saying “Hey, I’m professional today but any other day.. Girl. I’ve got a totally different style!” Surprisingly, my shoes are normally the topic of conversation wherever I go, so they’re a great conversation starter at networking events!
I travel as a photographer, I write novels , and I fan girl a lot. I have an unnecessary attachment to all things 80s punk, 90s hip hop, and girl power. You'll find some Fashion, photography and many more on this blog.
