Oxi Lox // Believe In Yourself.
If you’ve never been to a music festival or a tattoo convention, chances are you probably haven’t ran into Oxi yet. Spoiler Alert: She’s awesome. For some people, it’s the rainbow hair. For others, it’s the bubbly personality that she gives off every single time you see her. For me, it’s the way she stands and walks.
I don’t mean the way that she walks in her steps… I mean, the way that she walks as in her demeanor. She’s a proud woman. She walks around with a sense of believe in herself, even when she’s unsure of herself. Watching her at conventions, there’s always chaos around her. Yet, she’s got confidence in her mission… One time, I caught it.. A glimpse of nervousness… a slight tooth sinking into her lip, but when our eyes met, she smiled.
That smiled shattered whatever fear I thought I’d had in me. In that moment, I decided that Oxi Lox, this woman about to put a permanent tattoo into my skin was my hero. She was human but she was also heroic. How many women do you know with their heads held high, dressed in a panda jacket and a rainbow corset…
I only know one.

I know and love her more than she will ever know. She is the living definition of confidence and love. She instills her strength to everyone she meets. She not only believes in herself, but believes in you. Her art, love of nature and respect for life show all that there is a pot of gold at the end of every rainbow and hope in every raindrops. I know because I am proud to be her friend and mother. Thank you Jasmine for this beautiful piece.
