Interview With A “Twisted Illusions” Fan

July 10, 2014 Jasemine Denise Photography 3 min read 1 Comment

If the name Monica J. Cornell doesn’t ring a bell to you, I’ll refresh your memory back to the “Twisted Illusions” giveaway! I remember that day thinking that no one would really share or invest their time in putting Twisted Illusions in there. I wasn’t putting myself down or anything, I was just as nervous as anyone would be putting their baby in the hands of others for a photo contest. Speaking of which, Monica has TWO boys, very beautiful boys and has been a devoted fan since day one.

I was excited to interview her for the ASRD Interview with a Twisted Illusions fan!

Who are you?

 Monica Cornell

What made you buy a copy of Twisted Illusions?

I won it from the Jasemine Denise 2,000 fan giveaway!

In your words, what is the pacing of the book. Does it move fast or slow?

It was a “just right” pace for myself. I like when plots arise fast and gives off adrenaline.

Do you have a favorite line or scene?

Chapter 19 was hands down the best! The intensity between the two of them was phenomenal!

Is there a character in the book that you felt you could identify with? Who and why?

Camille. Every time that I’ve ever tried to do the right thing or something that I thought would be right. I was pushed down by awful comment, but I never gave up.

Do you hate any characters and do you have a favorite character. Why?

I don’t hate anything about this book, but I did like Wayne. He knew that he wanted to be with Camille from the start and he was the most complete gentleman, the “perfect” male role model for a significant other.

If you could have coffee with any character in the book, who would it be and where would you have it?

Camille, definitely at my house cause I make the best coffee! lol

If you could change any part in the book, what would it be?

The epilogue for sure! I don’t want to spoil it for others, but it seriously broke my heart!

Is there anything you could take from the book and use in real life?

If there’s something on your mind or something you want to do, don’t wait get out there and get it done cause you never know what could happen to you or another person. You may never get the chance to do or say that “thing”

If you could tell our readers one thing about the book before they read it, (NO SPOILERS!) what would you say?

I would say, when reading this book keep in mind that there is nothing better than knowing somebody cares about you, more than anything else. This book really gave me the feels of the love between the main characters!

Did you fall in love the first time you read it?

I read the whole book in less that 24 hours, I couldn’t stop reading it! So I would say a big yes! Amazing book.

Finally, How badly are you waiting for the next book in the series?

When I find out that it’s ready i’m going to make sure that I buy it as fast as it’s available for purchase! Point blank. Going to be the best book series I’ve ever read, I just have that gut feeling. Jasemine-Denise really knows her stuff about writing a book and keeping somebody on edge and wanting more!

I just wanted to take the time to thank Monica for engaging in this interview! For her to be a wife and a mother of two, she definitely was very eager whenever it came to sharing, reading, and supporting my books. It means so lot to me. Anyone who takes the time to read Twisted Illusions means a lot to me! If you’d like to send your answers to this interview in, definitely send them to the contact box

I travel as a photographer, I write novels , and I fan girl a lot. I have an unnecessary attachment to all things 80s punk, 90s hip hop, and girl power. I typically write in the same tone that I talk in so you should probably be prepared for that. Just saying.
