This was a very interesting session because not only is Pokahontas modeling, she’s also wearing a wardrobe we coordinated together. Having not seen any of the things the other had picked out, it was almost a real surprise that her shirt and jewelry went with the shirt I’d picked out for her to really pull off the “Pocahontas” modern day chic.
Now remember, I’m no fashion designer but this photo shoot was one of the best we’ve collaborated at so far!
Pokahontas has been a fan of the Disney cartoon Pocahontas since we were kids. If you want a little backstory on how long we’ve known each other, check out her test session. For now, we started out our session out with some simple portraits. Well, nothing’s really simple with us but a little fluff here, a little poof there and we were off![vc_row][vc_column width=’1/2′][/vc_column][vc_column width=’1/2′][/vc_column][/vc_row] [vc_row][vc_column width=’1/2′][/vc_column][vc_column width=’1/2′]
Halfway through this session, I asked Pokahontas something. Something personal about living. It was Father’s Day, and I had lost my father years back. It was because of her that I didn’t spend the day sulking at home. We had already had a cancelled shoot and she still chose to plan something completely spontaneous. So, I told her that we should do something spontaneous! I told her to grab her shoes, and get ready to do something crazy. You could see the excitement on her face.[vc_row][vc_column width=’1/2′][/vc_column][vc_column width=’1/2′][/vc_column][/vc_row]
So off we went to do something completely spontaneous. Sunroof Swimming. She’d never been out of the sunroof of a moving car and technically, neither had I! Next thing you know, I was hanging out the window and her out the sunroof so that we could capture her first time experiencing life in a new wind.
Look Mom, No hands!
No models were harmed in the making of this photoshoot. Our gorgeous Pokahontas is still in tact. Make sure you don’t overlook her Facebook page or her Instagram page. They’re made out of awesome! Are you ready for a photoshoot?
