Happy 2016 you cool cats! I spent a lot of time trying to write a blog post that was going to make me seem cool. I failed. I mean, don’t get me wrong.. I wrote this cool blog a while back about why I don’t have resolutions… or maybe it was about making them work. This year, I kinda made myself a plan. I want to collaborate with more innovative people, I wanna get to know myself and I want my clients to feel like they love me. (I mean, what photographer doesn’t want that?) Happy 2016, I’m about to drop some wisdom.
It’s that time again for you all to bask in the gorgeous, unique, and punk aesthetic of Erin Englerth. This time, she not only brought the A game you’ve come to love and respect; but we also got MUAYV to hook us up with some stellar makeup!
Happy Halloween ghouls and Goblins. It’s only the fourth “day”, so you’ve got more Halloween-y goodness to look forward to on the blog today. Continue Reading
“Harley!” I called out practically because why I’m always the one sent out on this Peter Parker missions to chase this crazy women around. First Cat Woman, then Michonne, that one time I had to get that one vampire used to being a vampire. That was last year though. I thought I was safe. Continue Reading
As Halloween beckons, the tales continue with the Supernatural Bonnie and Clyde. He was a mafia Prince inheriting the underbelly of Chicago. She was a demon gone rogue under the radar of all hunters. He promised protection, she promised eternal life.. who would’ve ever dreamt up such a match made in hell… Continue Reading
[vc_row bg_color=””][vc_column][vc_column_text]When I first met Mia, it was in a dive called New Wave and I was in love. We talked about all my favorite things and her energy was un-matchable. Vibrant, pink, and unbelievably awesome. Three… I mean–four words I’d use to describe Mia. So we knew her shoot had to be a mixture of all three things. Truth be told, this shoot was less of a shoot and more a crazy adventure.
Aright, let’s be real. A lot of our days start off with lists like this..
Erin Englerth back again, but this time she’s in her element again. You’ve seen her on her rooftop, you’ve seen her in an abandoned building — and when she got possessed by that same building but today… You see her showcasing her style. The Lady In White has arrived.
I’ve been accustomed to being away from home a lot. Living as a bohemian photographer who works hard enough to get by and not hard enough to move into a big loft in the city… It’s a standard given that at least 7 months out of the year, I’ll be in the land of somewhere I’ve never heard of.
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]It’s a chilly night in November, November 11th to be exact… I’m sitting at a house, pacing the carpet reminding myself of what I’m about to face. I’m about to meet Joe for the first time. I’d already had a photoshoot with his girlfriend who is a cosplay model, a regular model, and an all around fantastic person. I keep reminding myself of one thing.. “Don’t tell him you proposed to his girlfriend while she was dressed up a vampire…” Guess what the first thing was I said to Joe as we made our way downtown for their Navy Pier photoshoot…
I said… “Hey, Joe! I’ve heard a lot about you,” of course.. I’m not telling this guy a thing. Needless to say, at the end of the session… I proposed to him too. I remember it going something like, “It can just be a threeway marriage. I’ve already proposed to Amanda!” Whoops. Now… Why am I randomly proposing to this gorgeous couple? Wait until you see their session… Believe me, you’ll fall in love.
