Felicia DarkStalkers Cosplay // Holy Cherries

This Felicia Darkstalkers Cosplay is probably one of my favorite cosplay shoots today. I may have a little bias because I love Holy Cherries, but that’s beside this point. This is amazing. The cosplay is handmade by the model herself.

Holy Cherries // Felicia Darkstalkers Cosplay

You’ve seen Holy Cherries here before. Just a few short weeks ago, she did a Tank Girl Cosplay that was honestly amazing. Her cosplays have always been creative and full of spark. Outside of being a model for My Geek Goddess, she’s pieced together several unique looks including a multitude of ones as a brand ambassador for Shop Kinky Girly.

Be careful, this kitty’s got claws!

My favorite thing about this cosplay is that Ariel made the nails of the kitten costume out of cigarette filters. Can you imagine this adorable Queen painting fake nails of kitties surrounded by her own three cats? You can totally see her cosplay WIPS featuring her cats on her Instagram page.

Wait, don’t touch that dial!

In a couple of days, the not safe for work version of this shoot drops to the JDP Patreon, but if you pledge to Holy Cherries, you’ll get access right now!

Can you wait? or Do you want it right now?

Tank Girl Cosplay // Holy Cherries

Tank GIRL??? Oh yes! I’m ready! You may have seen her on Instagram, you’re probably pledged to her Patreon… and you’ve probably seen the mountains of long posts I’ve posted about how amazing she is.. But there is no better way to introduce Holy Cherries to you than to show you one of my all time favorite cosplays done by her!

Tank Girl Cosplay // Holy Cherries

Cosplaying is actually how I met this amazing Queen. We first collaborated on a Velma shoot that was glorious. She really broke the mold for me because when she stepped onto the set.. There was no Holy Cherries.. There was just Velma and it was almost overwhelming how good she was doing it.

As Tank Girl, she was no different. Hell, when she stepped onto my set… I was actually a bit intimidated. With her handmade bat of nails over her shoulder and a piercing scowl… She screamed danger and I was ready to face it… As long as I was beside her and not on the other end of her raft.

This Tank Girly Cosplay may get a little Not Safe For Work, but not too much.. If you’re reading this somewhere people can see you, stop here for safety reasons. Hahaha. But if you’re not sensitive to underwear covered butts, then proceed forward! Promise it gets no more unsafe than that!

Tank Girl, WAIT!!

There is a NSFW version of this Tank Girl Cosplay alive and thriving on the Holy Cherries Patreon. Ariel is one of the many cosplay pinup models Jasemine Denise Photography works with. If you’ve never experienced that or a cosplay boudoir, stick around… I’ve got a few more coming your way but if you’re feeling risque and want to book a session of your own.. Don’t forget you can fill out booking form any time and get a shoot with JDP!

You’ll see Holy Cherries again over here at JDcom sooner than you think. In the meantime you can follow her on Instagram and Twitter.

Poison Ivy Cosplay // Laura Joy

Yes, that’s right. A Poison Ivy cosplay. You could say Jasemine Denise Photography has a thing for the Gotham Universe.. and you’d be right. It’s not even just Gotham though. You’ve seen your favorite photographer as Storm, you’ve seen Rose Romanova as Black Canary and now… Laura Joy as not just Poison Ivy… Nah, this is a BOMBSHELL Poison Ivy cosplay.

Harness from SKG Designs // Makeup by: MUAGDJ

At this time, Laura was fairly new to the Jasemine Denise Photography model roster.  She was nervous, but she was adventurous coming in the SKGxJDP boudoir session at the very last second, and slaying everyone in her presence’s life. Truly living up to her cosplay as Poison Ivy. Her makeup was an intricate affair created by Gabbie, our lead makeup artist who worked diligently with Laura to create something that was poisonous but very avante garde…

Photographer’s Secret: I was terrified stepping into this session. As a photographer, it’s almost frowned upon for you to admit that. The industry tells you to be confident, kick ass, and don’t show any weakness. Welp. I was scared because I wanted Laura to feel confident and gorgeous because.. Well she is. She took my expectations, shattered them, and created her own mold to break. Five seconds into the session, you couldn’t have every told me that she had just started modeling. No… This was pure talent.

Bombshell: bomb·shell ˈbämˌSHel/ 1.) One who is amazing, stunning or devastating.

Yes, that sounds about right. Amazingly, devastatingly, stunning!

Laura, wearing an overbust and a Tempest Harness from SKG Designs definitely make this session less about the cosplay and more about the concept.

A closeup look at Laura:

Gabbie really took her time with the detail on this. The leaves are literally composed of glitter. This year, I’ll be sharing a lot more photoshoots featuring her makeup, so make sure you follow her on Instagram. Laura’s also modeling the Tempest Harness in red from SKG Designs over her overbust corset.

To see more of Laura’s photoshoots, follow her on Instagram! She’ll be back sooner than you think.

Black Canary Cosplay – Rose Romanova

Let me start this off by saying that Rose Romanova is amazing. Her Black Canary cosplay? Uneblievable! I know, I know. I say that about all the models, cosplayers and clients that I work with but seriously. That’s because they’re all amazing. Stick around, because you’re about to be impressed. With a capital I.

Black Canary Cosplay | Rose Romanova

The only way out of here is through me. I hope you’re stupid enough to try. – Black Canary

What can I even say about this badass cosplay? When Rose stepped into the dark room that housed the screams and pain of a million fallen soldiers, there was power in every single step. She in that moment was Black Canary. Gone was the down to earth bubbly girl who had just politely pet my dogs who were trying to eat the handmade elements of her costume… Now, in my presence was a fighter… A woman who would not stand for defeat.

The room was filled with nothing but high kicks and a t t i t u d e.
Anyone who stepped into that sacred space knew better. At least, for their sake… I hoped so.

As she stepped into the light, I realized that Canary wasn’t just tough… She was beautiful.

And just when you thought this Black Canary Cosplay couldn’t get any more badass..

It would be fitting that the first thing I noticed on Black Canary’s bike was the word Triumph. This woman looked as though she had dominated every stereotype pressed against her and said “I am badass.”

My father was a cop. I married a cop. I was meant to be a cop. But this city didn’t want a female detective. – Black Canary

ROAD RASH!!! Did you dig the shoot?

I definitely can’t wait to work with Rose again. Her Black Canary Cosplay is just one of the very few awesome cosplays she’s created herself. Follow her on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for more of her cosplays. Don’t forget to subscribe to the blog for more awesome shoots from your favorite Chicago photographer!
